The NewVote Institute was born of a simple philosophy: the world is better when we’re all empowered. We use cutting-edge technology to empower the people directly on an issues-basis (direct democracy), uncover the informed ‘will of the people’ (deliberative democracy) — and present these informed perspectives to elected governments (representative democracy). We’re a nudge towards a better world.
We’ve teamed up with University of Queensland, Australia, student representative body, UQ Union, to launch an official 12-month pilot ‘UQ Student Voice’. The engagement tool will be for issues on campus with its 52,000 students. NewVote is grateful to have this opportunity and will be doing the best job we can for them. We launch on 24 July 2019.
